Dr. Kristinn R. Thórisson is Full Research Professor of Computer Science at Reykjavik University (RU) and Managing Director and founder of the Icelandic Institute for Intelligent Machines. He is also co-founder of RU’s AI lab CADIA, which he co-directed from 2005 to 2010. Dr. Thórisson has been researching artificial intelligence for over 30 years, in academia and industry. Dr. Thórisson is a two-time recipient of the Kurzweil Award for his research on artificial general intelligence. He holds a Ph.D. from MIT.
