Fadi Al Machot is currently an associate professor in machine learning at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences in Norway. He obtained the academic grade Habilitation in applied computer science from the University of Lübeck in Germany in 2020. After Fadi graduated from the University of Potsdam in Germany in 2010, he obtained his PhD in computer science at Klagenfurt University in 2013. As a postdoctoral fellow in Austria and Germany, he developed different neurocomputing-based models for challenging machine learning tasks. Then, as a senior researcher, he joined the Research Center Borstel - Leibniz Lung Center in Germany. He published more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in well-known international journals and conferences. Beyond his research achievements, Fadi has extensive experience teaching various artificial intelligence-related courses at different well-known European Universities in Austria, Germany, and Norway.
